February 2012 - At this time we are unable to offer our design service. Jo (our designer and source for all things creative!) has two little ones under two and is unable to commit the time and creative energy to the design service at this time.

We envisage lauching this service again in the spring.  If you would like us to contact you when the service is available again please send an email to live@urbanbalcony.com.au or give us a call on 8021 6456.

In the meantime our team in the store are full of great ideas and are more than happy to sit down with you and talk through options for your space.

Just bring a few photos into the store and we'll be more than happy to help!

STEP 1. INITIAL CONSULTATION

Initial ConsultationThis on-site consultation kick starts the design process of your balcony. Our designer will discuss what you want to achieve and any ideas you already have while gathering a feeling for your individual style.

The balcony outlook and other elements are considered at this stage to compliment any existing elements your interior style. This visit is all about gathering information that is essential for bringing your balcony to life!

Having an idea of your budget for your balcony will help the designer develop a plan that will work for you.

Photos & measurements are taken at this time.

STEP 2. CONCEPT PLAN

Initial ConsultationThe desires and ideas discussed during the consultation are reviewed and brought to life on a “to scale” computer generated plan. A variety of products including; pots, plants, furniture and other elements are selected to enhance the space while keeping in mind the climatic conditions.

All factors of the balcony are considered to fully maximise every opportunity, creating an illusion of space and depth while linking the indoors out.

A timeframe of approximately 2 weeks is needed for the design process to come to fruition as a number of options are reviewed and considered before the end result can be fully realised.

The end result creates a visual story displaying the potential options available to your balcony, with images and descriptions of each element conveying the theme of the concept

STEP 3. DESIGN PRESENTATION

Initial ConsultationOnce the first draft(s) of the concept plan are completed we will contact you to arrange a time to meet in-store for a presentation and overview of your balcony design.

The presentation allows you to obtain a visual realisation & potential of your balcony space with a range of solutions on display creating a tactile experience. The designer will take you through the thought process behind the design and different possibilities available. This is a great time for comment and further discussion.

At the end of the presentation you are given a hard copy of the plan to be considered on your balcony space. An initial quote will also be included at this time. A second copy of your plan and quotation will be emailed to you.

STEP 4. INSTALLATION

Initial ConsultationFrom here we will work together to fine tune your design and then the install team gets involved to bring your balcony to life!

Any final changes or additions can be added at this point. Once you are happy with the outcome of the design we will organise the installation time. Our team of experienced installers will give you the confidence and assurance of a stress free installation.

An individual Maintenance and Care Information Pack will be provided after installation with helpful tips and advice on plant health and maintenance of other elements.

The urban balcony team prides themselves in providing the very best after care service and are happy to help with any queries you may have along the way.
