  • A gorgeous balcony plant with dark green glossy foliage and beautiful scented white flowers throughout spring, summer and into autumn.
  • The main flush of flowers appear in early spring. This is followed by an ongoing trickle of a few flowers on the plant at any one time throughout summer. Gardenia's do require regular watering. A well established plant in a large pot in a sunny spot would need a good soaking 2-3 times a week in summer and once a week in winter. A controlled release fertilizer twice per year or a regular dose of seasol every few weeks will help keep the plant nice and healthy and encourage good flowering.

    Gardenia florida is a shrub and will grow to around 60-70cm x 60-70cm if planted in a good sized pot and is well watered and cared for. Don't be afraid to place Gardenia's on a sunny balcony as they do like the sun but just remember to keep them well watered.

    They look absolutely stunning planted in the Atlantis Pharoah but equally work well in something like a Terrazzo Crucible.
