    Citrus trees are great balcony plants and are very happy in pots provided the pot is large enough and they are getting lots of sun combined with plenty of water. The ideal sized pot is something similar to our large crucibles or large tall cubes. When planting in containers allow a good 5cm gap between the top of the soil and the top of the pot. This gap should be filled with water each time you water. Citrus need a really good soaking at each watering.

    Fertiliser in spring and autumn with a controlled release fertiliser.
